David received his first massage at age 19 from the local barber while living in a Buddhist monastery in Bodh Gaya, India. Massage and yoga provided much-needed relief from hours seated in meditation.
In 2007, David completed yoga teacher training at the 200-hour level at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. Since then, he has taught more than a thousand hours of yoga classes and workshops.
David completed 164 hours of training to become a certified Thai yoga massage practitioner, and he’s also certified to practice Lomi Lomi Hawaiian therapeutic massage. David combines the long, flowing strokes of Lomi Lomi with the assisted stretching, compressions, and accupressure of Thai yoga massage to create an experience that leaves clients relaxed yet energized.
David’s pricing is $75 for 60 minutes and $100 for 90 minutes.
David offers the following massage therapies:
Thai Yoga Massage
During a Thai yoga massage, the massage therapist compresses, pulls, stretches, and rocks the body of the client to relieve tension, to remove blockages in the recipient’s sen (energy) lines of vital life force, and to restore balance and harmony.
Unlike many other massage modalities, in Thai yoga massage, the muscles are not rubbed, so there is no need for lotions or oils. Nor is there a need to undress — the client wears loose, comfortable clothing during treatment. Massage sessions take place on a soft futon-like mat on the floor, rather than on a massage table.
David’s Thai yoga massage clients say that they feel both relaxed and energized after a session. Clients have also reported improved joint mobility and muscle flexibility; increased range of motion and athletic performance; and decreased pain caused by sciatica, peripheral neuropathy, and chronic tension headaches.

Lomi Lomi Massage
Known as the “loving hands” massage, lomi lomi, a form of traditional Hawaiian bodywork, is a spiritually empowering practice that treats the mind and body as one.
More than a physical massage, the goal of lomi lomi is to find equilibrium in all aspects of our lives by opening energy pathways in the body. By moving life-force energy, we release physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual blockages, coming into harmony with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.
A lomi lomi massage session includes range-of-motion stretches, deep tissue release, abdominal massage — and most importantly, long, rhythmic, fluid, and nurturing strokes not only to gently yet deeply relax your muscles, but also to release old patterns and behaviors from your cells.
By releasing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual tension, David hopes to bring you into balance and harmony within yourself and with the world around you.
