Rebekah is the co-owner of Balanced You. Rebekah was born and raised in West TN and has been in Knoxville since 2001.

She is a licensed Acupuncturist with the state of TN and holds diplomate status with the NCCAOM. Rebekah graduated from the Jung Tao School of Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, NC in July of 2018. Rebekah has been a practicing massage therapist for the past 16 years as well as during her years studying at Jung Tao,

Tess Bradley, L.Ac.

Tess is a licensed acupuncturist in Tennessee and a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist holding a Diplomat status with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Her journey towards studying the healing arts started after earning her B.S. from the University of Tennessee in Hotel and Tourism Management and Business in 2010. This degree led her to manage hostels and non-profit organizations in the US and Latin America. While managing an environmental non-profit in Nicaragua in 2013, she contracted dengue fever which forever altered her life path. Tess began receiving acupuncture, which became the only thing that helped her pain and energy level.

Patricia is the impetus behind Breezeway Yoga Studio and is also a partner in Balanced You Studios. She returned to Knoxville after studying yoga and yogic philosophy for over 10 years in Southern California. While in Southern California, Patty became Certified as a Hatha Yoga Teacher at Cloud Nine Yoga in West Los Angeles, CA and Certified as a Restorative Yoga Teacher at Yoga Works in Laguna Beach, CA.

Christina Gerdes, E-RYT 200, E-RYT-500, YACEP

Christina was introduced to yoga in the early 90’s as a teenager and continued to do yoga throughout college and beyond until in 2003 she began Five Elements School of Yoga’s yoga teacher training to further her own practice. During the 8-month training, she fell in love with teaching. She has taught at multiple studios throughout the Southeast and West Coast, has been a member of Yoga Alliance since 2006, attended the first Symposium of Yoga Therapy and Research sponsored by the International Association of Yoga Therapists in LA, and has taken many continuing education workshops.Christina specializes in teaching private yoga lessons tailored to each individual student. She uses postures, breath adaptation and breath practices, bandhas, yoga philosophy, mantra and meditation to create a class just for you. Each private lesson includes a stick figure drawing of Your Own Personal Home Practice, which can be adjusted and adapted as You Adjust and Adapt through Day to Day Life.

David Morgan, E-RYT 200, LMT

David received his first massage at age 19 from the local barber while living in a Buddhist monastery in Bodh Gaya, India. Massage and yoga provided much-needed relief from hours seated in meditation.In 2007, David completed yoga teacher training at the 200-hour level at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. Since then, he has taught more than a thousand hours of yoga classes and workshops.

David completed 164 hours of training to become a certified Thai yoga massage practitioner, and he’s also certified to practice Lomi Lomi Hawaiian therapeutic massage. David combines the long, flowing strokes of Lomi Lomi with the assisted stretching, compressions, and accupressure of Thai yoga massage to create an experience that leaves clients relaxed yet energized.

Megan Roach, LMT 

Megan Roach attended the Appalachian Training Center for Healing Arts where she graduated in 2013. Her first experience with massage was at a young age, and then at 15 received energy work for the first time. After that she knew she wanted to be able to share this healing work with others. She has studied healing touch and biodynamic craniosacral therapy, which she practices along with therapeutic bodywork, swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and prenatal massage.

Elena Caicedo, LMT

Elena Caicedo has always been attracted to the idea of helping people. After moving to Denver, she discovered a passion for health and wellness, which lead her to massage therapy. She attended and graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy where she also worked as an anatomy tutor. While in school she was trained in Swedish Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, Trigger Point Therapy, Structural Body Work and Sports Massage.  She has since attended seminars in Hot Stone massage and John F. Barnes Myofascial Release. Her goal is always to use her unique training to relieve tension and help people develop a  more positive connection with their physical body. Her modalities include: Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Sports Massage.

 

Natalie Stiles Mabe

Natalie graduated from the Center of Rehabilitative Education in March of 2006 and practiced with Hosenfeld Chiropractic since April of 2006. She is Certified NCTM and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA). Her education focused on myofacial deep tissue work and sports massage. She enjoys working with people through all walks of life, and her main passion is educating her clients in helping their own bodies between each massage.

 

Lydia Moneyhun, LMT

Lydia Moneyhun, LMT, graduated from Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage. She has extended her education by attending classes in Gua Sha (Scraping Therapy) and Cupping, Thai Massage, as well as yoga teacher training. She is consistently learning and training with more experienced therapists, focusing on several different techniques and modalities. Lydia’s main goal is to educate each individual client in different skills to maintain the success found in massage, on their own.

Daniel Musser, LMT

Daniel Musser, LMT, is an Arbor College of Massage graduate with two years experience as a licensed massage therapist. His interest in massage stems from a lifelong passion for movement and sports.  As a long-distance runner and a weight lifter he draws from his athletic background to analyze the body based on movement and chronic holding patterns. He has additional training in myofascial release, structural integration, and cranial sacral therapy.
